Confessions Of A Berson Mind

Simplest answers…

Posted in Miscellaneous by reber on the June 11th, 2007

It’s amazing with how complex a computer really is how the simplest answers are still sometimes the best.  Case in point:  I personally have been having a lot of issues with my office computer.  I have it set up as a DVR as well as my web design machine, and my TV files have been coming out — weird?  Missing frames, computer lockups…something has just been off.  In the course of my troubleshooting I replaced both hard drives and the IDE cables connecting them to the mobo…and it made the problem worse???  Finally, I took the computer out of the office, over to the shop, and went nuts with it.  End result?  A case fan gone bad.  That was seriously it.  The case fan would fire up, spin for two seconds, and then shut off, and anything connected to it on the same “power rail” from the power supply wouldn’t work.  It’s a 6 dollar case fan.

Lol, so aside from that, been updating the code on the Ephrata PRE site…some cool new features should be coming to that site soon.  Also, St. John Neumann is adding a “Giving Card” program to their site, and that should be up there in the coming week as well.

Finally, if you are looking to play poker and wanted to use the banner at the bottom of my homepage, don’t.  Full Contact Poker has merged with Pokerstars, and there will be a new banner up there soon.
