Berson3 Computers has joined the Ephrata Chapter of Professional Referral Exchange!  This is an exciting new event for Berson3 as it opens many doors to new clients and new opportunities.  Additionally, Berson3 will be taking over the hosting duties of the PRE website.  When the site has finished changing hands and has the Berson “touch” added to it, I’ll post the link here.

So things have finally calmed down to a point where I can catch up on my maintenance work. Berson3.com, wonderful as it was, was still in need of a minor makeover and is finally getting the attention it deserves. In the latest updates, the web design (Powered by Berson) and computer cleaning (Cleaned by Berson) have gained top billing on the site and that’s where most of the work will be focused. You’ll notice some new headers, backgrounds and more importantly…fresh information regarding our services.

Speaking of Cleaned by Berson, I’ve recently had my fourth run-in with the Smitfraud Spyware Suite. I do actually believe that the coders of this Malware have done enough work to have their “product” called a Suite. This spyware app is loaded onto your PC by way of some misguided download, and then proceeds to tell you about it! It suggests that you have several Spyware apps installed (which you now do) and pops up a very authentic-looking bubble from the taskbar saying you’re infected. You can get a spyware cleaner by clicking the bubble, and then paying the fee when you get to the web site it sends you to. Best part is, is that I’ve read reports that the cleaner actually works! However, parts of the spyware app remain installed so that you become forever a slave to the thing you just got suckered into purchasing. Shows what talented and driven people can do when they allow their morals to be corrupted.
